News: May 17 2012:

Dogs running loose. We have too many dogs running loose in Finch
Landing! The HOA covenants state in Exhibit D, paragraph 2 item b that
“Dogs shall be kept on a leash or otherwise confined in a manner acceptable to
the Board whenever outside the dwelling”. Jackson County Animal Control patrols
Finch Landing periodically and will pick your pet up and issue a fine to you if
the dog is found roaming free. Also, a new Georgia State Government House of
Representatives Bill, HB 685 regarding animals was signed into law by Gov Deal
on Thursday May 3 2012. It is worth your time to read and digest HB 685 since
it is much stricter than earlier laws. The new law provides for jail time and/or litigation in certain cases.  It just makes sense to avoid the hassle of letting your dog run loose and
potentially causing harm to neighbors.

Pool opening. UPDATE. Jackson County Health Department certified the pool is ready to open Saturday May 19th. In the event you misplaced your pool code, e-mail any one of the board members and they will give it to you.

Pool volunteers. As we did last year, we are asking for volunteers to monitor the pool on a weekly basis. Trudy Taggart will coordinate dates with each of you and we ask that you contact her, Trudytaggart@yahoo.com or 706-367-8529.

Spruce up the pool. We would like to say thank you to the members who assisted in preparing the pool for opening day.

Use of community facilities. Remember that the pool, pavilion and other
facilities are open only to members who are current with their HOA dues. As always,
sharing of pool codes is not allowed.

Member updates and communication method. After the May 7th 2012 community update letter mailing, all news and HOA updates will be by e-mail or the website only.
